In Memoriam: The Hackergotchi

For nearly two decades, this tiny cut-out head faithfully represented me across Planet feeds, blog sidebars, and conference wikis throughout the Australian open source community. It survived countless WordPress migrations, theme changes, and the rise and fall of RSS readers.

Sadly, at a mere 83×90 pixels, it was finally time to retire the old hackergotchi. It served its purpose well in a world where 800×600 was a generous resolution, but in 2026 it deserved a rest. Thanks for the memories, little head.
